Kate plus 8 begins November 2, thank you TLC!
NEW YORK — "Jon & Kate Plus 8" will soon be simply "Kate Plus Eight."
That's the word from the TLC network, who announced Tuesday that its hit reality show is adapting to changes in the Gosselin household, which has been disrupted by the split up of Kate and Jon.
The renamed "Kate Plus Eight," which begins Nov. 2, will continue to chronicle the lives of the Gosselin kids (5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins) but will also focus on Kate's role as a single mother.
"It's not a huge shift, but it's reflective of where the show was already going," said Eileen O'Neill, TLC's president and general manager.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/29/kate-plus-eight-jon-gosse_n_302906.html

Kate Gosselin is a Good Mom
Thanks goes out to Susan Avery for the following article! Right on!
Reality Check: Kate Gosselin is a Good Mom.. by Susan Avery
Kate Gosselin is not crazy for keeping her marriage band on her left ring finger. She is not an emotional basket case for tearing up publicly a few times lately. And she's certainly not a lunatic to check on who's baby-sitting her young children.
Kate is a mother going through a divorce.
With that misery – be it public or private – comes waves of feelings that need time to process. You don't have to be a trained therapist to understand the upheaval involved in a breakup, especially one that involves children. The initial shock of it all feels like you're swimming underwater. You can see, but things seem fuzzy. You can think, but your certainty can't be trusted. You can stand, but you're always wobbly. And you definitely can't breathe.
What you have are your instincts.
That's what Kate went on last month when she came by the house during Jon's time with the kids. The two – of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus Eight – have a custodial agreement worked out, called a bird's nest in matrimonial-court parlance, where the children remain in the family home and the parents take turns living there.
Back in August, Kate found out that someone she didn't know was baby-sitting her children and she went to the home to eyeball the woman. According to reports, Jon wouldn't let her in the house and the police were called. None of this happened in front of the kids and no arrests were made.
Last week on ABC's "The View," Kate was a guest host and she was called on the carpet by Whoopi Goldberg to defend what she did. Her response was honest, responsible and classy. She said she was uncomfortable not knowing who was minding the kids. She also said she was wrong to do it. Never once did she bash Jon.
Granted, in a legal sense, Kate was wrong. But in a maternal sense, she was as right as rain. If a parent has the feeling that something is not kosher, it's that parent's obligation to check it out. No one, including Jon, has accused Kate of going to the house and acting like a raving madwoman. She didn't pull a wacky move like banging down the door with an ax, or bringing camera crews with her, or make a production of it by involving the police. She went there to find out who's in control of her kids.
Control is the keyword here. As the stay-at-home parent who was always in control of her kids, Kate is now going through a very normal withdrawal phase. Her precious brood is now under someone else's care part of the time. We don't know how she found out that a stranger was watching her kids and what lead up to her knocking on the door. I'm going to venture a guess: I'm thinking that she called Jon and he wasn't particularly forthcoming with the information. Or, he offered up the name of the baby sitter and it raised her antennae. Any good mother would be concerned.
Since the court papers are sealed, no one is privy to the custody agreement. But I can almost guarantee this much: There's a provision in there that says something about joint decision-making over the kids lives. If Kate was not part of the decision on choosing that baby sitter, she had every right to check it out. Period.
When news of their divorce hit back in June, Jon said, "This will be a difficult transition for all of us ... We are no different than other couples and parents who are facing a crossroads in their marriage."
Exactly my point. This goes on every day with parents in passage out of their marriages. Let's stop beating up on Kate. She may be a reality-TV mom, but she's also a human being....http://www.parentdish.com/2009/09/23/mom-says-dad-says/?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl4|link3|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.parentdish.com%2F2009%2F09%2F23%

US magazine confirms Kate's new gig!
Usmagazine.com has confirmed that Kate joined Paula Deen at a pilot taping in NYC over the weekend. Comedian Julie Gold, former CBS talent Rene Syler and Lee Woodruff, wife of former ABC World News anchor Bob Woodruff, are among the other women being considered for the show. I don't know about you guys but I am waiting for my girl Paula Deen to say it is true, cause Paula only tells it like it is! Come on Paula say it is true! ;) FINGERS CROSSED!
Kate at the Southern Women's Show
Kate answers questions about the kids, dogs and their house at the Southern Women's Show in North Carolina last week. In our humble opinion we think that Jon should have trained "his" dogs and, when he purchased his "new place" not only did he purchase one without enough space for his kids to visit him there, but he chose a place that does not allow his dogs! Go figure, guess it is all about Jon and nobody else!

We Love the New Do Kate!!!
What a difference a little hair restyling makes! We love the kinder softer look! It matches, In Our Humble Opinion, who Kate really is...we think the stress of living with Jon all those years took their toll on her personallity and her hair, and now it is time for Kate to really shine! I, for one, love how much her face lights up when she smiles and talks about her kids! You go girl!

Kate Gosselin & Paula Deen Talk Show In The Works
Hey guys I think Kate did good on The View today, how about you? Kate will be back on The View on Friday! In the meantime there seems to be some very exciting rumors out there that Kate and my all time favorite cook, Paula Deen, are putting together a talk show for moms! I think it sounds like a winner to me and I will keep you posted on the outcome of the rumors. I hope they are true! You know what they say about the best revenge: success! You go girl!
Kate's new look, softer more approachable!
It’s a new View — and a new do — for Kate Gosselin. On her second day as guest cohost on the talk show, Kate debuted a new wavy look. “You have a new hairstyle. It’s a first!” said Barbara Walters, as Tuesday’s show began. Added co-host Joy Behar, “It looks cute!” Gosselin gave credit to the show’s makeup artists with an enthusiastic, “Your girls back there, whoo baby! Isn’t it cute?” Later in the program, Kate talked about why she’s still wearing her wedding ring even though she and Jon are divorcing. “I said very early on that I would continue to wear it for the kids,” she explains. “We’re not officially divorced yet, and you know, I’ve had it on for 10 years. It’s upsetting to the kids.” Kate also responded to Jon’s comments to Good Morning America last week that he “despises” Kate. “Of course it bothers me,” she said. “Am I going to return the favor? Absolutely not. I am a high-road taker.”

Jon has a play date with his kids
Speaking of the cost of health care, which is in the forefront of almost everyone's mind at this time, I cannot help but wonder if Jon has given it even a moments thought. His and Kate's brood of 8 probably cost a small fortune to cover with a health care plan. While Jon is busy "loving" New York, his new apartment and his many, many sexual escapdes, Kate is busy working and trying to support her kids. Poor Jon! He says he is exhausted after spending 4 days with "his" kids and needs to rest when he is done. But, not to worry folks because they call him all the time to ask him where he is! Of course he does take the time to explain to them he is "on Broadway, or at Times Square" or wherever, just loving life!
Meanwhile Kate returns to a house that has been wrecked during his "play date" and, as we all know, she has to do the laundry etc, etc, etc worry about the health and well being of her kids and everything else that comes with being a responsible adult raising a family!
I bet Jon even let the dogs run through the house after he had his little "fishing trip" with the kids through the muddy cow pasture!
At least Kate and the Judge stopped him from laughing all the way to the bank! Let us hope that TLC decides to drop him from the show too! Then Jon can go looking for a real job that includes health care for his brood!

Kate is Great, you go Girl!
Kate Gosselin has had a tough year fueled by the stress of a crumbling marriage, estranged husband Jon's proclamation he loves his new girlfriend more than he ever loved her and -- oh yeah, eight kids! So it may come as no surprise when Kate, guest hosting The View Monday, admitted she melted down this weekend at her Wernersville, Pennsylvania house. You can read more at: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/09/kate-gosselin-view-ill-continue-take-high-road
Kate is co-hosting the view again tomorrow, catch it if you can.

Jon has lost it all!
Jon will be on ABC Primetime tonight at 10PM est. After seeing some of this interview, it is my opinion that he is a desparate man who has had the purse strings taken away from him by a responsible judge who felt that Jon is blowing the "family" money like there is no tomorrow! Jon is on an allowance, Poor Jon! Do you think he may have just realized that he killed the goose that was laying the golden eggs? I got two words for Kate: restraining order! When a person is filled with as much hate and anger as Jon seems to be (directed at the wrong person IMHO) who knows what their next move might be. You decide. http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/09/jon-gosselin-kate-i-dont-trust-her-anymore
